Attala 72-Hour Release Window
No official Attala County or verified Leake County rolling 72-hour released-inmate URL was found during the official-source review completed July 26, 2026. The Attala Sheriff page does not offer a released tab, current roster, archive, update schedule, or online retention period. The reviewed Leake channels did not reveal a distinct three-day feed. As a result, no public web cadence, photo field, or displayed data inventory can be stated responsibly.
A 72-hour list is still possible as a records request for an existing log or export. Its value is the longer observation span. One day can cut a release sequence at an awkward point, especially when a court order, agency entry, or transfer posts after the event. Three days create more room to compare the exit with the Attala docket and to catch a correction made after the first daily check.
Important: The three-day span must be measured by physical release or transfer timestamp, not arrest date, web post date, or scrape time.
Request Attala 72-Hour Releases
Write the interval in Central Time and state both endpoints. A request made on Monday can ask for the preceding three calendar days, while a true rolling window should list the hour and minute. Avoid “the weekend” without dates. That phrase can mean different periods to the requester and custodian. Also define the group: Attala detainees only, all people exiting Leake, or a named person’s booking.
- Set exact start and end timestamps and identify Central Time.
- Ask the Attala Sheriff at 662-289-5556 which facility held the Attala detainees during that span.
- Request Attala jail-docket or transfer entries for the same three-day period.
- Ask Leake at 601-298-9003 for existing physical release and transfer entries tied to Attala matters.
- Seek the booking number, exit timestamp, release code, code definition, and destination.
- Ask when the export was generated and whether later edits or delayed entries can alter it.
- Sort community releases separately from transfers to another custodian.
If staff cannot give historical data by phone, ask for the records custodian, submission address, and the exact name of the existing report. Mississippi’s Public Records Act permits reasonable actual-cost fees and provides response rules, but the request should invite an itemized estimate rather than assume a fee.
Attala 72-Hour Release Fields
A records-produced list needs enough detail to define each exit. A name alone is not enough. Similar names can be mixed, and one person can have more than one booking. The release reason may also be a short system code. Preserve it and ask the custodian for the codebook meaning instead of translating it from guesswork.
| Field | Use in a three-day list |
|---|---|
| Name, alias, and disambiguator | Matches the correct person without collecting unrelated data. |
| Booking number | Separates one custody episode from another. |
| Attala arresting agency | Connects the physical exit to the local record trail. |
| Release date and time | Places the event inside the 72-hour period. |
| Release type or code | Distinguishes bond, court order, time served, completion, or transfer. |
| Destination or receiving authority | Shows whether the person entered the community or another custody system. |
| Export generation time | Reveals whether a later correction may be missing. |
Ask whether photos are part of the existing export rather than assuming they are. No verified 72-hour feed means there is no verified public photo field. A booking photograph may be requested as a separate record, subject to lawful withholding or redaction.
Attala Weekend Release Verification
A three-day view is most useful around nonbusiness days, but no Attala or Leake source reviewed states fixed weekend or holiday release hours. Do not promise that a valid release order will appear in a log on a set schedule. Staff may need to receive the order, verify identity, resolve holds, complete property and paperwork steps, and enter the exit. Another agency may also take custody.
Use the physical exit time rather than the date of the court order. An order signed Friday and an exit processed Saturday are two distinct events. A Monday log generated before a correction may also differ from a later certified response. Preserve both dates and ask which one reflects physical departure. If the supplied record has only a date, report only the date.
The official Leake County Correctional Facility listing confirms the Carthage custody point. The screenshot demonstrates the agency source used for facility routing.
That facility page does not publish weekend processing, release waiting instructions, or a three-day feed. Call before travel and ask where release or property questions are handled.
Attala Roster Gaps Need Docket Requests
Attala’s official site publishes neither a live custody roster nor a recent-release archive. It gives no online retention window. Search results that use the obsolete “Attala County Jail” label can therefore hide the real Attala-to-Leake route. Some pages show current arrests, not releases. Others may preserve an old address without identifying their source or update time.
The reliable workaround is a timestamp-bounded request to both counties. Ask Attala for the jail-docket row, arrest and transfer material, and any release authority. Ask Leake for the physical booking and exit transaction. When one office says it does not hold the record, ask it to identify the custodian rather than treating “not found” as proof that no release occurred.
A roster is a snapshot. A docket or release log records a transaction. A person absent from a snapshot may have been released, transferred, entered under another spelling, moved between systems, or omitted because the public view does not retain history. The longer 72-hour window reduces some timing gaps but does not cure a source mismatch.
Note: Keep the source, capture time, and timezone with each result so a later update can be compared without rewriting the earlier record.
Classify Attala Three-Day Exits
Do not total every exit as a person newly in the community. Leake is a regional facility that can hold local detainees, county-sentenced people, and MDOC offenders under different legal authority. A movement from the local population into an MDOC unit remains custody. The destination and legal population matter as much as the timestamp.
| Exit class | How to confirm it |
|---|---|
| Bond or recognizance | Join Leake’s gate time with the Attala bond order. |
| Dismissal or court release | Read the Attala disposition and the later physical exit entry. |
| Time served or completion | Compare sentence, recognized custody time, and release code. |
| MDOC transfer | Continue in the MDOC inmate system; do not count it as community release. |
| Federal or immigration pickup | Follow the named receiving authority; local custody ended but other custody began. |
| Unknown or “other” code | Ask the record creator for the code definition and destination. |
Maintain separate counts for bond or court release, sentence completion, transfer, and other codes. This prevents a list of custody exits from becoming a false claim about who is now outside every detention system.
Cross-Check Attala Three-Day Records
MS SAVIN and VINELink can provide a recent status or alert for a specific person when the relevant agency participates and supplies the record. Match identifiers and reporting agency. A released label reflects the feeding agency’s event, not a universal statement about every case or hold. Automated data may lag, so confirm the source entry when exact timing matters.
MDOC serves a different lane. Search it when the Attala case led to state commitment or when the local exit says MDOC. A current state location means custody continues. MDOC’s “Tentative Release Date” is an estimate, not proof of an event during this three-day window. For probation or parole, check the parolee record and local Community Corrections route. For federal or immigration custody, use the federal system named in the transfer record.
Attala court records explain why a release was authorized. Justice Court can hold the first appearance or early bond event, while Circuit Court can hold a felony judgment and sentence. Court data may not show the minute Leake opened the gate. The strong three-day result therefore joins legal authority, physical exit, and any next custody or supervision status.
Choose Attala Release Timeframe
Use a three-day request when the event may span a weekend, the initial daily check was late, or several possible names or exits must be reconciled. Use the Attala County 24-Hour Releases page when the goal is a tighter same-day period. In either case, define exact timestamps and ask whether the log was generated before or after later corrections.
For a named person with an older or uncertain release, the Attala County released inmates search path is more suitable than a recent-release window. It traces the person through Attala, Leake, MDOC, MS SAVIN, courts, and any federal handoff. A 72-hour list answers who exited during a defined span. It does not replace a full identity and custody history.
